The following groups offer support at no charge for women who are at risk of or are experiencing distress such as isolation, depression, anxiety, fearful thoughts, insomnia, trauma, and other difficulties during pregnancy or postpartum. This facilitated mom-to-mom peer group dedicated to helping women suffering from perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, including postpartum depression, the most common complication of childbirth. We also work to educate family, friends and healthcare providers so that moms and moms-to-be can get the support they need to recover. You are not alone. You are not to blame. mama2mama: Support & Awareness for Postpartum Mothers

mama2mama is a postpartum adjustment support resource based on the Sunshine Coast. The website offers resources and community for anyone, anywhere. This peer-led group is a resource for any mother who wants support and information to help her through the postpartum period. Resources include regular group meetings, one-to-one peer support, an online forum, an informative website, a network of community health resources to tap into, as well as postpartum awareness campaigns. You don’t have to be local to use the website and the online forums; Everyone’s welcome.
